The track links are formed via die forging, while the pins and bushings undergo precision machining, carburizing, quenching, and tempering heat treatment. With dual protection of oxidation and wear-resistant black paint, its wear resistance and corrosion resistance far exceed those of ordinary carbon steel chains, increasing service life by 50%. Track Links — Die Forging:
Utilizing high-strength alloy steels such as 35MnBM or 40Mn2 boron steel. Pins & Bushings — Carburizing & Tempering:
Carburizing & Quenching: The pins and bushings undergo deep case carburizing, achieving a surface hardness of HRC 58-62. This high-hardness shell effectively resists sand and stone abrasion, preventing "internal wear" or "necking."
Quenching-Tempering: While ensuring high surface hardness, the core maintains a tough state of HRC 30-40. This "hard surface, tough core" characteristic enables it to withstand the massive torque and impact of rig travel without brittle fracture.
Mining environments are often accompanied by high humidity, acidic water, and chemical corrosion, which ordinary paint cannot withstand.
Oxidation Treatment: First, black oxide or phosphating is applied. This dense chemical conversion film penetrates the metal substrate, providing basic rust prevention and, more importantly, increasing surface roughness for better paint adhesion.
Wear-Resistant Black Paint: The outer layer is coated with epoxy zinc-rich primer + polyurethane topcoat or specialized track paint. Precise Pitch: The pitch of the track links is precisely machined and controlled, with minimal error. This ensures perfect meshing with track rollers, drive sprockets, and idlers.
